This event is one of the oldest and longest-running conferences of its kind in the nation and our goal is to combine passion and purpose and work together for the greater good of people with developmental disabilities. At the 2013 Governor’s Conference on Developmental Disabilities this March 5 – 6, at the Embassy Suites Hotel and Conference Center in Norman, our theme is “Harness the Power.”

By tapping the energy, experience and efforts made by people who have knowledge to share about developmental disabilities we can harness the power to –

• promote public awareness and advance our mission
• advocate for public policies that best serve our family members and clients
• explore best practices and get access to timely, accurate and high quality information

At this important and prestigious event, advocates, educators and community providers across the state will engage in strategic planning and critical thinking to harness the power we own collectively.
