What is an Aging Our Way Ambassador?

An Aging Our Way Ambassador is a dedicated community member who serves as a liaison between the “Aging Our Way Oklahoma” initiative and their local community. Ambassadors are trained volunteers who help educate others about the goals of Oklahoma’s Multisector Plan on Aging, increase awareness of resources and services, and gather local feedback to inform our collective work.

This grassroots approach ensures that the diverse needs of older Oklahomans are acknowledged, amplified, and addressed helping to create a more inclusive, age-friendly state for all.

Who Should Attend?

We welcome individuals who are:

  • Passionate about supporting older adults and caregivers
  • Connected to local community groups, places of worship, neighborhood associations, or public service organizations
  • Committed to advancing equity and inclusion in aging
  • Eager to share resources and amplify community voice
  • Available to participate in training and outreach activities

Whether you’re a professional, caregiver, older adult, or simply someone who wants to make a difference, you are welcome to serve.
