What is Mental Health First Aid?
Mental Health First Aid teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders. This training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial support to a person in crisis or who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connect them to the appropriate care.
Course Information
Prior to the in-person training portion, participants will need to complete a 2-hour pre-work in the online MHFA Connect portal. Please keep watch for an email with pre-work access and don’t delay as it must be completed by the Thursday prior to training, unless specific permission is granted.
Cancellations
Cancellation is required as soon as possible. If you are unable to attend or need additional information, please e-mail MHFA-OK@dccca.org.
